I am having trouble getting the new firmware onto my player. I've downloaded it onto my pc but cannot figure out how to get it onto player. Any help would be appreciated. And also is anyone else having trouble with the nav button sticking? Thanks

Download the firmware 1.6 @

I discovered that the firmware on the company site does not have everything needed for installation.

so download that file, extract it to the root folder of your mp3 player.
Then disconnect.
Plug in your charger. And then at the loading screen it should setup version 1.6

Afterwards, all u need to do is change the language from korean to english.

Also read that u were having problems with converting mp4 files?
Maybe you can find ure solution at the forum site i gave you...
i do know this...that u must convert to svi format. thats the only way to play videos on ypt8z...
Not sure about ure screen going black sorry....Does yptz8 support conversions from avi to svi ? I cant remeber
