Checkout our latest review of the Olive Symphony (http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review3374.html)Those with a taste for high-fidelity will find the Olive Symphony a dream come true. Now you can bridge the gap between your sound system and your PC.

This looks sweet. I was thinking about buying the Sonos system, but I love the way this looks. Does it come with a remote control? This was not mentioned in the review.

I also wish the management software worked on a PC instead of a Mac. If you have experience with this unit, please post!

Ioman,

The Musica (upgraded Symphony with 160gb hard drive) comes with a remote control. The management software also works with PC. I love the device... downloading some CDs as we speak. Let me know whether you have any more questions.

All best, Michael

Thanks for answering my questions. I am still leaning towards the Sonos unit just because of its controller. I am ok having it constantly connect to my PC for music playback.

So my understanding is that the software manager on the Symphony only works with an Apple OS?

Ioman,

I think the Symphony playlist can be manipulated on a PC. Reason I think so is that Musica, the big brother of the two, is PC-ready. I think the German manufacturer of the original product on which the Olive products are based designed many products for Apple, hence the similarity of the user interface to Apple products.

Two suggestions: check out Olive's web site at <www.olive.us> and you may find the answer there. Alternately, check with the technical people at Olive (phone number on web site).

Oh, one other suggestion, check out the Cambridge Audio Azur 640H Music Server, which is very Olive-like in its capabilities. Check this web site <http://www.audioholics.com/ces/CEStransports/azur640hmusicserver.php>

Good luck!
