Believe it or not, I am actually thinking about getting one of these. Any idea whem there will be a wireless mighty mouse from Apple? I like the clean look of a wireless keyboard and mouse, but I want more than one button on the mouse!
GOOD LUCK...
But isnt it USB??

I would seriously wait for rev 2. I am ver tempted too, but I'm gonna wait until they have an actual strategy, instead of some knee jerk reaction to get a product out.
You can use pretty much any regualr 3 button mouse, from what I understand. just check the manufacturers website first.
I'm gonna prob get an intel mac mini when they come out.

It will be a cold day in hell the day Apple ships a mouse that *looks* like it has more than one button. However if you look closely the mighty mouse is actually a multi-button mouse. Four to be exact, left/right squeeze areas and you can set the top to have two click sides like anything you're using today. I played with one at the local apple store and it just does not feel right in my hand, like a toy screwdriver when i need something that says craftsman.
As for wireless... got me.
as for rev1 anything core duo, wait. (http://it.slashdot.org/it/06/01/28/1414209.shtml)

That seems to be with Windows XP and portables right since it affects the battery. I have a Dell desktop PC that uses a Duo Core processor and it seems to be working fine.

I see it as wait and see. Who knows what else will pop up?
Thats not a HARDWARe issue...
But, I would wait. This is like Win95 SR1... WAIT for SR2 at LEAST..
Or Check out one and SEE if you can get Linux running on it.

...and SEE if you can get Linux running on it.
Redhat has already announced that they are going to build a version for apple hardware, I guess they see it as a "what the hell we got to get ready for wide deployment of EFI on x86 anyways" money being spent. Till someone like Redhat tosses the cash needed to get linux bootstraping on EFI it's a no-go.
I don't think it will take them too long, all that have to do is port elilo from IA64 to x86... Who knows what kinds of little apple gifts have been put into the apple version of the EFI module. I mean these are the guys that when the mac was first released put a hidden icon inside the ROM that said "STOLEN FROM APPLE" just in case someone stole the bootrom (like was done with the Apple ][) and they needed proof in court.
Get the anvil out bill, we got IRONING to do...
as to linux, there are enough versions that WILL do the x86, but not their config, yet.
This will also FOCUS the Linux groups into going ALL posible to get Linux TOTALLY working and all drivers.
WOULDNT that be interesting?? Apple and MS working to get LINUX up?? Hmmmm!
What the?? what you 2 doing up at this time of hight anyway..??
Good conversation, anyway..best in last couple weeks..
