Melissa Data Teams With Platon Media to Deliver Global Address Verification Services
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Data quality software provider Melissa Data today broadened its international address verification services with the addition of AddressDoctor, a product of Platon Media Solutions GmbH and Deutsche Post Global Mail.
Developed in association with country-specific postal administrators, AddressDoctor is the world's most complete reference database of global addresses and postal codes.
AddressDoctor appends postal codes, corrects misspellings, parses and standardizes address elements, and formats addresses for more than 200 countries and territories throughout the world. The product also matches addresses to detailed street-level directories for more than 40 countries. "Accurate address information is critical for companies who are competing in the global economy," said Ray Melissa, president of Melissa Data. "With hundreds of different address formats and postal codes, companies that are mailing or shipping from one country to another need to understand the many variations of how addresses should be written."
