What’s your favorite car insurance gimmick? The talking gecko? The gruff cowboy? What makes you feel the most automotive safety?

I like the one from Mercury (www.mercurytheory.com). If you haven’t seen it they claim the owners of Mercury are from Mercury and they’ve got all the corroborative evidence including an armadillo and 10X magnification of burnt toast (check out the videos and slides) that proves everything. Makes me chuckle.

I like the line with the actor and the real person. But I think the one that has mini-me in it is kinda weak.

the Mercury ones are funny and the lil Gecko is cute....the one commercial that drives me insane lately is the ones w/ the kids screaming cuz they got some great Christmas present or whatever---all I hear is that screeching and have no clue what the commercial is for LOL

I love (and so does my son) the Geico commerical where the guy does the robot. My son always drops what he's doing and starts doing the robot too. :)

For me it has to be the Geico Caveman commercial where the caveman is being interviewed by the news reporter about his contributions...invented the wheel, walking upright.."Sorry we couldnt bring that to you sooner". I lose it every time I watch it. My 2nd favorite would have to be when he's at the airport on the walkway and see's the sign "It's so easy, even a caveman could do it". I love the music in the background. It kinda reminds me of a guy I work with. :)

No no. The one with the mango salsa was such a better caveman commercial - if it wasn't for that one those two wouldn't have been made.

Another set of video's I love are the one where the Squirrels jump in front of the car just to make it run off the road, then they give each other high-fives for doing it! The freakiest ones are the new VW commercials where your watching people talk then all of a sudden a truck rams into their car. I know it's not an insurance commercial, but it makes me think about insurance rather than buying a VW

The one where the most sexy, beautiful lady you'll ever want see is hitchhiking and the guy refuses to let her in his car. She does not have Survival Insurance and he say's "I can't take that chance". The cavemen with Geico are real funny too, really well done.

I like the new Allstate commercials with the guy talking about what distracts people when they are driving..they have the lady putting on lipstick, the guy eating chinese food, the person on the cel phone, and then the guy changing his pants in his car?? What? Is changing your pants in the car that often of a problem that it's deemed worthy of making it into a commercial?

LOL. It must be! I've seen that one, and they show a lady driving with a dog in her lap. I hate seeing that. It's some type of pet peeve of mine.

I just saw a new Geico Caveman commercial. Caveman in an therapist office talking about being smart etc. Last scene he takes a cell phone call from his mom. Not the best of the Geico commercials.
