Good "output oriented" PMP?
We recently got a Minivan that has a Video screen, and component inputs (Red/White/Yellow) for audio & video. We're totally digital at home, using iTunes for everything (what's a CD or DVD?) so I'm looking for a portable player to plug into the minivan to play MP3 playlists and video.
I don't really care about it's own screen or playback quality but I care how well it drives an external screen or audio. However I need component video output (or an adapter for that), a way to charge it in the car (USB charging would be best or a normal car adapter), an interface that allows playlists or categories, a way to pump out video, and ideally some way to syncronize with iTunes (but we can work around that if necessary). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |

It looks like with some tricks I can use an iPod to output video. This would be ideal since we organize all our playlists etc in iTunes and some of our content is purchased from Apple and won't work elsewhere.
Here is a link I found about the tricks. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this works with current iPods! http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/ma...od.html?page=2 |
