Its a maximum page count thing.
as well as a TIME thing, and a SPACE availability thing.
This has been going on over 4 years and 1000's of posts as well as the TOP number of pages in 1 section, met the softwares TOP limits.
The posts had slowed down, and only 1-2 persons were commenting and getting abusive.
Insted of placing facts and what they had done to HELP solve the problem, they were berating the companies, and that can get the site in Liability court.
What you may wish to do, is keep contacting those in the BBC that saw the old posts, and suggest that this was done in do course to what has been done in the past, with this company Forcing sites to DROP forum posts.
