Well, can't hold back the inevitable. The Pittsburgh Penguins traded one of their key players, Alexei Kovalev, due to financial issues. Everyone's heard rumors the past month or so, but didn't know exactly when that was going to happen.
This clearly is not a "hockey" based trade at all; a decision purely based on the Pittsburgh Penguins financial standings. That's one thing I hate about sports in general, the salary caps. They can really kill the potential of teams, and take away key players from teams that rely heavily on them. Hopefully this trade wont' turn out as bad as expected; the Penguins and their fans (including myself) are hoping that other players will prove their talents and abilities now that they have more ice time. Anyways...here is the full story It's going to be interesting to see the outcome of these trades by the end of the season.
