I really like the look of this system. I am surprised to see that it is using an AMD processor in it. Typically systems of this nature are using either low voltage Intel or Transmeta CPU's. I would prefer 512MB of memory compared to 256MB. I think the footprint looks incredibly small.

I would love to comare this to the Sony PCV-W30 side-by-side.

It uses a AMD Athlon XP-M 1800, a mobile CPU and they are low woltage as every mobile cpu.

ahh yes, I missed that thanks for pointing it out. So this system is more like a laptop with its architecture, just in a different case.

Shared video ram, Suck.
video only 32 meg max of onboard ram. Suck.
256-1gig ram, ok.
only 12" TFT.

I would like the KB to be removeable/replaceable. You have to sit infront of it ALL the time and CLOSE up. Cant put KB in lap, more ergonomic.

for an office, it would be fine.

The alternative contender for Afina will be the new Sony V series and the Fujitsu Biblio RS series.

Here are the links:
Sony VAIO V series
http://www.vaio.sony.co.jp/Products/PCV-V10B/
Price: $2199

and

Fujitsu FMV-BIBLO RS55E/T
http://www.fmworld.net/product/frame.../rs/index.html

$2799

But price wise, Afina so far is the most reasonable one.
