Whats funny is Braodcast TV is being push also to become HDTV.. Not digital.
And the only access you have to Digital is cable or sat. Which costs money. Broadcast dont.
Cable and Sar keep going up on cost, ours has gone up from $25 3 years ago to $40, and they say its the broadcasters they carry raiseing prices, like ESPN.
If cable would give all the FREE channels they have for $10 amonth, I would subscribe(again) but waiting for the bill can be a shocker when theres another $5 added to this months bill.

No digital for me until guarantee no loss of rights

Digital TV is the big heist. They play it out as if it is better, but anti-copy bits are in the works and are already in use in the Japanese market. I will not go digital until my rights to record and skip commercials are guaranteed just like they are for analog TV. I will not pay more merely for a better picture while I lose in every other aspect while at the same time be treated like a criminal.

What I am seeing as this technology advances is a number of companies trying to profit from it. This is an abvious statement of course, but it seems like a new technology cannot simply exist anymore without some company wanting to have ownership or a certain amount of control over it.

Digital Cable
MiniDV
FireWire
BetaMax
DVD+-R
Blue Ray
SACD
DVD-Audio
and the list goes us.

Every company is trying to provide a unique way of using the HDTV broadcast in order to make money from it. Simply plugging it into your television from the wall is not good enough. It is sad to see technology manipulated this way because it hurts everyone in the long run, especially the consumer.

Very true.
As with the Hydrogen cars to be released. They have held them back unil they made a propritary delivery system..You WONT be able to go to a welding shop to get gas, it will be pelletized, and from a delivery pump.

Post hummmm

if it didn't cost $32,000 just for the patent along, that doesn't included a patent lawery to make the patent sound enough to be worth the paper it's written on, we would have far more technology in the consumers hand not the corperations, I'm thinking of selling my idea's to a major car company because it is the only way it will ever get through the patent office intact, with out the gas companies finding some way to stop it. I'd publish it public domain, but it's based off something else I designed and I don't want to lose rights to that...

Thats the fun part..
Patents. It takes so little to change minor things and you create a NEW patent and dont pay the original creator.

But there is a solution. Find a group to back you(aint easy), prove it to them and MAKE/build your own.
I believe in useing the public to prove a product. If this was a better fueled/designed car, I would load up a Van with news journalists and take them for a Long ride. You would be published Nation wide in days. And have all the advertising you needed.

if it was atotally new engine design aka no gasoline used at all, wouldn't you have to show people how it work, thus risk lossing to the first greedy person who's greed is larger than their ethics? I guess the design isn't revoluationary , just effective thus I could build it in my backyard but I could make it safe enough to pass car safty standards...

Making an Adaption, of an old product, is a viable idea.. But its the big company that will take it away.
Say you make a hydrogen engine, based on old and new tech.
HOW with you distribute the fuel.
The current thing from the Gas comapnies, is to make there OWN stations or add to the existing. But insted of JUST Hydrogen, they made it THEIR OWN hydrogen, so you couldnt go to ANY welding supply and get it.
So what you made a car run on hydrogen, you aint got much fuel delivery, and the GAS station isnt going to STOCK your FUEL.

Smile lol

your the one who assumed that it was hydrogen based, I'm talking about 90% effiecent perpertual motion engine. the waste can be powered by normal car batteries, the only problem so far is to exceed 65-70 MPH you have to use the accelerator, which is where my other idea came into play and that tend waste almost s much energy as it produces so you can get speeds of 200 to 300 MPH but only as long as you have power... but you can refuel anywhere you can plug in a battery charger... the reason the damm patents end up at 32k is because of the complexity of the engine, to patent a gas based engine would only end up about 12k.
