trojan download.small.18.T
Hi, im having a huge problem with a virus; the Trojan downloader.small.18.T.

I have found a few posts by people of how to removet his, but they all require access to Hijack This.

I do not have HijackThis, and cannot seem to download it either. Every site I have tried either comes up as 'Page not found', or when I have gott o a page, the download itself will not work. I'm not sure if this is anything to do with the virus. As such I have no log to display, is there any way that you can help me get rid of this thing?!

AVG finds it, tells me it has been healed and that to complete the healing I must restart. After the restart i rerun AVG and it picks up the virus again with the same 'useful' information to restart. I have also downloaded Xoftspy which finds the Trojan, but cannot delete it.

Any help is VERY much appreciated, but please use basic steps, I'm am not hugely familar to handling this type of thing!

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me on this!
I have tried both the links on the page. The first page only comes up with a 'Page not found' error - (i have alos tried the home page for this, searching via google and every other thing I can think of. When I get the chance I will try and download from an external machine onto a cd, then transfer to this machine.

download.com shows, but the file does not download.

If you have any other ideas how I can get this, then please inform me!!

Thanks again for your help so far, I will reply again when I manage to download Hijack This.

I meant to add to that last post, that I seem to have somehow (and not quite sure how) deleted the virus itself, however the thing that is now seemingly causing the problem is BookedSpace. Apparently this is some kind of adware. I downloaded Xoftspy which picks up bxxs5.dll (apparently one of the key files for this), but there are 4 or 5 others that I cant find.

Still In Safe Mode Delete all Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Run CW Shredder AdAware and Spybot,delete what they find , Empty recycle bin.

Then Reboot to normal mode and post a new log..........Jim
