I think this is a huge overreaction on Jason's part and Molly's article is being read way too deeply.
She could simply be upset because it’s increasingly difficult to find content that has not already been covered (by Gizmodo and Engadget) for her "Buzz Report" column. To say Cnet as a whole is out to "take down" Engadget is just plain silly. I am sure Engadget is of little concern to the giant.
